Véronique Briquet-Laugier is the Chairperson of the Board for AQUA Legacy. She has forged Indo-French & South African partnerships, spearheaded public-private partnerships, and championed lean innovation and she has orchestrated diverse teams of 4 to 48 across 3 continents of admin, science, culture & education experts. Her background is in Biophysics and Science policy, and worked in the field of health for more than 15 years in UCLA and Paris, France. As a former diplomat, counsellor in Science and technology to the French embassy in Delhi, she developed many projects in innovation, including an European study funded under FP7. Véronique also coordinated the Water Joint Programming Initiative (JPI), an European program gathering 27 countries to fund research and innovation in Freshwater. The Water JPI has opened research and innovation programs in technology, health (Antimicrobial resistance), biodiversity and sociology.
