Umakant Soni

Umakant Soni is an AI entrepreneur, investor, and thought leader with nearly two decades in technology and close to a decade focused on artificial intelligence. He is Co-Founder of AI Foundry, building leapfrog AI ventures for the next six billion users, and Co-Founder of ARTPARK, the AI & Robotics Technology Park at IISc.

He also co-founded pi Ventures, India’s first AI-focused early-stage fund, backing leading AI startups across healthcare, logistics, and enterprise tech. A nominated expert to the Government of India on the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), he advises governments and Fortune 500 companies on AI strategy and innovation. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and KTH Stockholm, Umakant is a frequent keynote speaker on AI and deep-tech impact in emerging markets.
