Gaurav Aggarwal

A Computer Science BTech from IIT Madras and PhD from University of Maryland, Gaurav has over fifteen years of experience in building computer vision and machine learning solutions both in academic and industrial settings. Gaurav has around 50 research papers in international conferences and journals, he has written as part of his research career. In his latest stint, Gaurav worked in the capacity of head of Data Science at Ola Cabs where he led several efforts to bridge the gap between profitability for the business and customer delight.

Before joining Ola, he founded a technology start-up called Fashiate that was acquired by Snapdeal where he worked as the head of Multimedia Research Group for over two years. Gaurav has also worked as Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs and as assistant professor at University of Notre Dame.
