Brunessen Bertrand

Brunessen Bertrand is Full Professor at the University of Rennes and a member of the Institut Universitaire de France. She holds the Jean Monnet DataGouv Chair in data governance and the Cyber Chair of the Fondation de l’Université de Rennes. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of French Tech Rennes-St Malo and of the International Scientific Council of the Bcom Institute for Technological Research. She is an auditor at the Institut des hautes études de la défense nationale.

She is responsible for a number of scientific research projects: the “Health-e” project on health data, the PriCLeSS “Privacy-Conscious Legally-Sound blockchain Storage” project, a project on the regulation of digital platforms and ECHOS on the societal and environmental impacts of digital technology.

She is currently directing several theses on topics such as Blockchain & Privacy, European cybersecurity law, the use of AI in public action, and AI and social law issues.
